Natalie is a photographer, writer & editor based in Sri Lanka. After a 13-year career as a communications strategist and creative director, they went on to focus on several non-commercial initiatives including using their voice as a journalist, photographer, filmmaker and activist to
produce work that looks at how various phenomena in Sri Lanka’s recent history has impacted women and queer identities in the country - especially from Post-Colonial and Post-Conflict contexts. Natalie has been published in Sri Lanka and overseas, exhibited at festivals across the world and most recently concluded a stint as Editor of the Sri Lanka Institute. Natalie has been commissioned to produce work by the Centre for Policy Alternatives, Groundviews, Royal Geographical Society, Women & Media Collective, World Trade Organization, UN Women, UNDP, International Centre for Ethnic Studies, Stages Theatre Group and KinderNorthLife among others.
